Why I Am Not Like the Others

Most advisors are specialists, and bless them for it. A lawyer handles the legal bit. A coach handles the leadership bit. A PR firm handles whatever is about to embarrass you. All useful. None of them own the whole tangled thing, which means someone still has to hold it together in the middle. That someone is usually you, at an unreasonable hour, wondering why nobody just deals with it already.

How This Actually Runs

We start with a real, confidential conversation. No charge, no pressure, no forms before you have even told me what is wrong. If it is a fit, we agree on exactly what I am solving, what I am staying out of, what done looks like for you, and roughly how long it should take. That is usually anything from a few days to a few months, depending on how deep the tangle goes. Then I get on with it quietly, checking in when it actually matters rather than turning myself into one more thing on your to do list. When it is done, it is done properly, with a clear outcome and everything handed back or shredded as you prefer.

Is this consulting?

Not really. Consultants tell you what they think you should do. I go and actually do it.

How is this different from a chief of staff, a coach or a concierge?

A chief of staff runs your organisation with you, every day. A coach helps you think it through, and then you do it. A concierge handles the bookings and the errands. I take one problem, do the work myself, and stay with it until we reach the outcome we agreed. The longer answer is here.

How confidential are we talking?

From the very first email. I will sign whatever paperwork puts your mind at ease before you tell me a single detail.

What will you not touch?

Anything that conflicts with an existing client. Legal disputes, handling the press, or anything that needs a licensed professional like a lawyer, doctor or accountant. Admin work and sales too, since those have their own hires. I know the difference, and I will happily tell you who you actually need, even if it is not me.
