Can I Send Someone to a Meeting on My Behalf?
Yes. And it does not have to stop at meetings.
Sometimes the meeting is the least of it. You want to know whether an investor would take your call before you ask for one. Whether a co-founder who walked away would ever talk to you again. Whether a client you lost might come back.
None of those is ready for a meeting yet. Each one starts as a question, and your name on it makes it bigger than it needs to be.
What I can do in your place
- Sit in on a call or meeting and tell you what really went on
- Sound out a possible investor, buyer or partner before any formal approach
- Find out whether a burned bridge can be rebuilt
How it works
We agree first on what you want to know, and on anything I must not say or promise. I go, I listen, and I come back with a written debrief, good news or bad.
Everything I do as your proxy follows my rules.
Things people ask
Will they know who sent you?
They will know I am acting for someone. Your name stays private unless you want it shared.
Can you make decisions for me in the meeting?
No. I listen, ask and explore. Anything that would commit you comes back to you first.
